Love is in the Air

p>Hi.  Remember me?  Blogger who always promises to post something soon and then doesn't?  Yeah.  I'm rotten at this blogging stuff, but I imagine you will forgive me! ;)

I have LOADS of projects that I want to share with you from Christmas.  I know everyone is probably over Christmas, but I'll share them anyhow.  Maybe.  You know the drill.

Anyhow, for right now, I want to just pop in and say hello, and let you all know that Graham's 318 has asked me to be their Artist of the Month again!  I am so excited!  They actually asked if I could do the rest of January and all of February, so I have been busy getting pieces together for a show.  Here are a few things I have been working on.

Bean candles

I shared this craft last year over at Our Wonderfilled Life, but I never got around to sharing it here.  Last year was...well, last year was difficult.  This year is fantastic!

Christmas Decorations Part I

I have about 20 pictures for this post.  Actually, I have 108, but I decided that might be a few too many, so I am going to split my Christmas decorating up among several posts!

Prior to getting married, I went to a tree farm every year at Christmastime to cut down a tree.  My husband had never been to a tree farm, and this year he thought it would be fun to take the kids and cut down a tree, starting a new tradition.  I was totally on board with that!  Tree farms are not as common in the suburbs as they are in the rural area where I grew up, but we did find a farm nearby, and it was sooooooo much fun!

Craftapolooza

Seriously, folks!  I should have taken pictures of my dining room and living room during the craft-fest.  There was stuff EVERYWHERE!  And there is STILL glitter everywhere.  You know what they say about glitter...;) My daughter and her BFF, Ella, love to take off their sock and run around and "get sparkles on our feet!"  Honestly. It looks like there was some, great fairy collision at my house.  But, I digress!

Many of the projects I am going to show you where inspired by Pinterest.  For some of them I read tutorials and followed the directions.  For most of them, I just tried to make something similar to the image that I pinned! Since there are so many projects, I won't say much (hard to believe) about most of them.  I'll just let the pics do the talking.  If you want more info, just send me a message, or check out my Pinterest Christmas boards.

This first one wasn't on Pinterest.  Remember those wood transfers I showed you how to do a few months back? I thought a Christmas piece would be lovely, and it is!

Surgery, sickness, and Pinterest--oh my!

Have you stoppen by the blog in the last few weeks and just heard crickets?  Sorry about that!

Our daughter's surgery (to remove the tonsils and adenoids) went very well. This is a pic of my husband praying for our daughter just before she went into the OR.  I think this is just the sweetest pic!  It captures a tiny portion of just how blessed I am! The recovery was painful, as expected, but no complications!  Praise the Lord! The day after her surgery, our son caught a wretched stomach flu that lasted for three days.  Poor guy!  My husband and I just moved small mattresses into our room and the kids slept there for a few nights. Ugh.  Now that I am thinking about it, it was pretty awful, but we all survived and are doing well.  Well...mostly.
